Making the most of your quarantine days

I have always wanted to make the most of my time and try to do as much as possible. Not being productive makes me really cranky. I’m used to a busy schedule and being involved in a lot of stuff. So, for a person like me you can imagine how this lockdown would’ve benefitted me. But in reality, as of today, I’ve done nothing except sleep all day, play cards, binge eat and/or watch tv shows. Maybe it was so because I had too much time and I didn’t use it wisely or I’m just making excuses. Now instead of getting frustrated on what could’ve been the most productive days of my life, its better to get up and start moving. Realise my mistakes, and brush up my skills. Often we are so busy with our normal lives that we have no time for ourselves. This is a chance to slow things down, analyse and introspect. We can either make ourselves miserable or come out of this stronger. Don’t let your thoughts make you believe otherwise. If you want to see changes or achieve a goal then you gotta start committing. It’s the only way to grow. For instance, I’m not a good runner and I find it really difficult to jog/run 5 kms. But I made up my mind and completed 5 kms of indoor running which is comparitively tougher in a very small space and the amount of satisfaction I feel right now is inexplicable.

This has been a tough period for all of us, but we have to overcome the negative thoughts and focus more on the positive. You cant control what life throws at you, but you can choose how to respond to it. This is the perfect opportunity to do the thing you’ve always wanted to do- to cook that dish, read that book, spend time with your family, do your favourite workout or anything for that matter which you couldn’t manage otherwise. Let us make the most of this time for we won’t get an opportunity like this and truth be told, we don’t even want one like this!

Stay home, Stay safe, work on yourself and lets come out of this together, stronger than ever!

P.s- Sometimes all you need is that little push and for me it was my little sister and my bestfriend who pushed me throughout to start up my blog again. Thankyou for being there. I’m grateful to have you in my life.
